Tadcaster Pub Company Headquarters: Commer House
The group headquarters, in Station Road, were built in 1936 as the offices of Tadcaster District Council. They were built to the highest standards to reflect the status of the town as a major centre in the UK brewing industry and still retain many original features. The classic 1930's interior styling is being sympathetically returned to its former glory by the Commer Group.
At Commer House there are all the necessary head-office functions to ensure the smooth running of all outlets - accounts, sales and purchase ledgers, payroll, a bespoke telesales ordering department and a personnel function dealing with all aspects of staff recruitment, training and development, and industrial relations issues. The recently refurbished Roberts Room provides an ideal venue for large meetings and training sessions. The room was recently refurbished with the installation of the latest computer-driven, audio-visual presentation equipment, which is used by all Commer staff, and some of our clients whose headquarters are sited in other parts of the country.
