Jim Walsh - Chairman
Jim founded the Commer Group in 1989, originally in the temporary management sector. In 1996 he started the tenanted pub company Commer Inns to operate as part of the group, and went on to develop several other businesses within the group including Nucleus Data, Sarjam and Commer Investments. Following the sale of Commer Inns in 2001, Jim and James Crawfurd-Porter launched Tadcaster Pub Company, which is also part of the Commer Group.
James Crawfurd-Porter - Managing Director
James started with Commer Inns in 1993 and was appointed a Director in 1996, and Managing Director in 1999. After the sale of Commer Inns in 2001, James went into partnership with Jim Walsh to launch Tadcaster Pub Company. James is Managing Director of the company.
Alison Woodfine - Director
Alison has been a part of the Commer Group since 1998 and has been involved in most areas of the business. She oversees the company's administrative functions and liaises with our suppliers.
Ian Blackburn - Head of Finance
Ian joined Commer Group in 2007 and initially worked with Nucleus Data. He subsequently was appointed Financial Controller for Tadcaster Pub Company in 2008.
Simon Jepson - Operations Manager
Simon has worked with the Commer Group since 1997, originally acting as a Business Development Manager for the part of the business running outlets for clients under temporary management. He joined the tenanted business in 2001 and is the primary contact for our tenants and lessees.
Leisa Hill - Credit Controller
Leisa joined the Commer Group in 1992 and has been involved in every part of the Group's businesses over the years. Prior to joining Tadcaster Pub Company she was a Team Leader with Nucleus Data. She now manages the trading accounts and issues the weekly statements in addition to undertaking the preliminary accounting procedures.
Janet Watson - Accounts Assistant
Janet has been with the company since 2005 initially handling our sales and purchase ledgers. She is also the first point of contact for our telesales, and speaks to our tenants every week as they place their beer orders.
